Training begins in January 2012. Please see either Mr. Purych (grades 11+12) or Mr. Sutcliffe (grade 10) for more details. The Senior Game schedule is posted already (click the link above for the 'senior team' or go to the athletics calendar). In the mean time, go play club rugby in the fall and start watching the world cup!!!

Thanks for all your support at the Dinner Auction! Thanks to your generosity and all the donations, we raised over $5000 for the California Tour. Congratulations. 

The Sardis Rugby team is going on tour for Spring Break 2012, and all spots are now taken. 
We leave on Wed, March 14th and return Wed, March 21st, missing just two days of school at the beginning and enjoying a few days of Spring Break left over at the end.
The deposit was due In September (total of $300) to secure your spot on tour, and we now need $500 total (the total bill will be under $1000). Please see Mr. Purych for more details.
Note to grade 10's: We are also considering a grade 10 weekend trip to Kamloops, but this information won't be ready until the new year.

We are getting new jerseys designed this year for the Senior team that we will use for several years. If students want to order their own jersey to keep (this is optional - we also have a team set), please put your order in soon to get it in time for the season!
Jersey costs $65 (pay at office and bring receipt to Mr.Purych)
You can also order Shorts for $23 and Socks for $10 (or just go buy your own at the store).

Darren Purych
Mr. Purych is the Metalwork teacher at Sardis Secondary and the Senior Rugby Coach. A former front row player, Mr. Purych enjoys coaching the game and brings lots of energy and enthusiasm to the field. 

Trent Konrad
Mr. Konrad is a standoff and inside centre who has played at the top level of rugby in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Current GRC player of the year in Saskatoon. He is excited to be a student teacher at Sardis this year and to be coaching the Junior Rugby team.

Joel Sutcliffe
Mr. Sutcliffe is on parental leave this semester but has been the Junior Rugby Coach for the past few years. Also a former front row player, Mr. Sutcliffe has coached rugby now at four different schools. He will continue to be involved with the team and is going on the tour, helping with fundraising, and maintaining this website.
